It was developed for flash point determination in fuels, lubricants and biodiesel products. It is also suitable for flash point determinations on waste materials and solvents.
The sample is heated and mixed at specified speeds using one of three defined procedures (A, B, or C). An ignition source is directed into the test vessel at regular intervals until the flash point is detected.
